Here are pictures of LAS's newly refurbished 12.5" f-7 telescope. The mirror and tube of this telescope was donated by James Baker a number of years ago. It is the goal of the board to pier mount this telescope and the 16" f-4 scope in two separate buildings at the LAS observatory site this spring.
LAS also has a 16" mirror with a focal length of 128". This will be a very nice planetary scope. Once this 16" mirror has been mounted in a tube, it will probably take the place of the 12.5" scope. |
